The UNCOMMON Standard: Part One

There is a question I’ve started asking myself every time I finish designing a bracelet.

Not, “Would someone buy this?”

Not even, “Is this worth $24?”

Instead, I ask something much harder.

“Does this feel like a bracelet worth ten times that?”

I recently heard another business owner explain that every creator should build products that feel far more valuable than the price attached to them. If you’re selling something for $24, it should make people feel like they’re holding something worth ten times that amount.

That idea stayed with me.

So I did something I hadn’t planned to do.

I walked over to my jewelry display, pulled bracelets off one by one, slipped them onto my wrist, studied them in different lighting, stacked them together, and simply looked at them.

Not as their designer.

As a woman.

Would I wear this?

Would I reach for it again?

Would it catch my eye every time I opened my jewelry box?

Would it still look beautiful next year…or five years from now?

Because at UNCOMMON Jewelry, beauty isn’t accidental.

It’s intentional.

When I first began building this brand, I created what I now call the UNCOMMON Formula.

Every bracelet has to satisfy three standards:

• Aesthetic

• Quality

• Meaning

Over the next few weeks, I’m sharing each one because together they define everything I create.

This week begins with aesthetics.

For me, beautiful jewelry isn’t about following trends.

It’s about creating something timeless.

Something elevated.

Something eye-catching without shouting for attention.

Something that makes you stand a little taller the moment you fasten it around your wrist.

If I wouldn’t proudly wear it myself, it never becomes part of a collection.

That’s a promise I’ve made to myself from the very beginning.

Could I create bracelets faster?

Absolutely.

Could I use less expensive materials or simplify the designs?

Of course.

But that’s not why I started UNCOMMON Jewelry.

I wanted every bracelet, whether it’s $24 or one day much more, to feel like something special.

Because I believe women deserve that.

Our promise has always been simple:

Every bracelet is designed with intention to be more than an accessory. It’s a wearable reminder of who you are and how you want to show up in the world.

But before a bracelet can remind you of your strength…

It has to make you fall in love with wearing it.

Beauty opens the door.

Quality earns your trust.

Meaning stays with you long after you’ve taken it off.

That’s the standard behind every bracelet I make.
